Looking after it afterwards.
Every build is finished, tested and handed over working. Care is what happens after that — hosting, checks, small changes and someone to ask. It is optional on all four builds, and the site stays yours whether you take it or not.
Do you need one?
Probably yes, if you will not touch it yourself
Most owners do not log in again after launch. Opening hours change, a service moves, a form quietly stops sending. Care is someone noticing before a customer does.
Probably not, if you are hands-on
If you are comfortable editing your own pages and watching your own analytics, you do not need me monthly. Take the build, take the training, and call me when something breaks.
If you sell online, it is a different question
A brochure site being slow is an inconvenience. A shop with a broken checkout is closed. That is why Shopify Care costs more and answers faster.
No plan is a condition of any build, and there is no exit fee once outstanding invoices are paid.
Three plans to choose from.
Two plans for a Framer site and one for a Shopify shop. The difference between the first two is how much reporting you want, not how well the site is looked after.
£99/mo
Website Care
The full plan for a Framer site. Hosting, monthly checks, thirty minutes of changes, and reporting on what the site is producing.
£39/mo
Essential Care
The lighter plan. Keeps a Framer site up, current and working, without the monthly snapshot or the quarterly reviews.
£149/mo
Shopify Care
For a shop. Order and checkout support, app and theme updates, and a response within one working day.
Not sure? Take the build first. You can start a plan later, and you can move between them at any time.
Website Care: £99 a month.
The full plan for a Framer site. Optional, three-month minimum from launch, then rolling monthly with 30 days’ notice. It pays for visible ongoing work, which is why it is charged separately from the build.
What is covered
Framer hosting and SSL while the plan is active, monthly uptime, form and link checks, and up to 30 minutes of minor changes each month.
What you get told
A monthly enquiry and booking-action snapshot, a quarterly performance review with one proactive improvement, and a quarterly Google Business Profile accuracy check.
Response and exit
Response within two working days. Clear transfer and no standard exit fee once outstanding invoices are paid.
Essential Care: £39 a month.
The lighter of the two Framer plans. It keeps a site up, current and working. Same three-month minimum and 30 days’ notice.
What is covered
Framer hosting and SSL while the plan is active, monthly uptime, form and link checks, up to 15 minutes of minor changes each month, and an annual check of services, contact details and opening hours.
What it does not include
The monthly enquiry and booking snapshot, the quarterly performance review and the quarterly Google Business Profile check. Those are Website Care at £99, and you can move up at any time.
Response and exit
Response within two working days. Clear transfer and no standard exit fee once outstanding invoices are paid.
Shopify Care: £149 a month.
For a shop. Priced separately from the two Framer plans because a shop is more work to look after, and because when a checkout breaks the business stops taking money.
What is covered
Order and checkout support, app and theme updates, monthly checks, and a monthly sales and checkout drop-off snapshot. Shopify maintains the platform itself, and your plan and billing stay in your own name.
Response and exit
Response within one working day, and a shop that is down or a broken checkout comes first. Clear handover and no standard exit fee once outstanding invoices are paid.
What no plan covers.
Care is upkeep, not a retainer for new work. Anything beyond it is quoted separately, in writing, before it starts — the same rule as the builds.
New pages, sections or features
A plan covers small changes to what already exists. Building something new is a project, however small, and it gets a price before it starts.
Marketing, ads and ongoing SEO
I do not run campaigns and I do not sell an SEO retainer. If that is what you need, I will say so rather than take the money.
Not sure whether you need one?
Take the build first. You can start a plan later, move between them, or never take one at all — the site is yours either way, and no plan is a condition of anything.
