Sell from a shop you own.

Built on Shopify, because a shop you outgrow is a shop you rebuild. Start with a dozen products, add hundreds when you are ready, and run the whole thing from your phone.

When taking orders stops scaling.

You sell physical products, and you either have photographs of them or can get them

You are taking orders by message, phone or marketplace, and it has stopped scaling

You want customers to check out themselves, without you in the middle of it

Your current website is dated, or it just isn’t selling

Selling without you in the middle.

Someone can buy at eleven at night without you being awake to take the order

Every product gets a page of its own, written as text a search engine and an AI assistant can read

Payments, delivery and tax are set up and tested before launch, so your first real order is not the test

The checkout is Shopify’s, which means it works on a phone and you are not maintaining it

The customer list, the orders and the store account are yours, in your name, from launch

You can add and retire products yourself without coming back to me

What you end up with

A shop that is open for business on the day it launches, not a set of pages waiting to be finished — real products, real payments and real orders, tested end to end before anyone sees it. It runs on Shopify, the best ecommerce platform available at the moment: it handles the checkout, the card security and its own updates, and it will carry far more products and orders than you are starting with. Growing means adding products, not rebuilding the site.

The plan

A session on what you sell, who buys it and how they decide, plus a review of three relevant online competitors.

The shop

Your Shopify store configured and launched on your own account, on a free theme customised to your brand, with up to eight core pages including delivery, returns and terms. I write the copy for those pages; you verify every fact.

Set up to sell

Product structure built for you — collections, variants, options and stock. Payments, delivery zones and rates, and tax configured and tested with real end-to-end orders before launch.

Set up to be found

Page titles, schema and a Google Business Profile review. Content written as readable text and marked up to current standards, so search engines and AI assistants can find and understand what you sell. GA4, Search Console and agreed sales and checkout tracking.

After launch

Redirects from your old site where required, two consolidated revision rounds, full checks before launch and 30 days’ support.

From £2,995, fixed before work starts.

50% to book

50% to book

Payable on acceptance, which reserves your slot in the schedule.

40% when the build is ready for review

Due when the shop is built and ready for you to go through, before your test orders.

Final 10%

Final 10%

After final checks, your own test orders and your sign-off, before the shop goes live.

Timescale

Around eight to twelve weeks once your content and product data are with me. We agree the key dates at kickoff.

What isn’t in the price.

Product photography and product descriptions are yours to supply. Loading your products is not included — I can do it for an agreed fee, priced once we know how many there are. Also outside the price: branding, paid apps and their subscriptions, custom Shopify code, ongoing SEO, and marketplace or social-channel setup. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately, in writing, before work starts.

You own it. All of it.

You own the domain, your Shopify account, the approved copy, your supplied images and the finished store. The Shopify account is in your name and billed to you from the start — I work inside it, and nothing needs transferring to you at the end because it was never mine.

While a care plan is active I keep access so I can make changes. That access is removed within ten working days of you asking, once outstanding invoices are paid.

Looking after it afterwards.

/mo

Shopify Care is £149 a month, optional, three-month minimum from launch and then rolling with 30 days’ notice. It covers order and checkout support, app and theme updates, monthly checks and a sales snapshot, with a response within one working day — and a shop that is down comes first.

Questions people actually ask.

Can I move my existing products across?

Yes, where you have them in a usable form. Migration from an existing store is included when that is what the job is; we agree it as part of the scope before the price is fixed.

What if I only have a few products to start with?

That is fine, and it is the normal way to start. The build is the same either way — the structure is what takes the time, not the number of items in it.

Who pays Shopify?

You do, directly, from the day the store transfers into your name. It is not billed through me and I do not mark it up.

Do you take a cut of my sales?

No. Nothing you sell comes back to me. You pay Shopify directly for the platform and the card fees, and you pay me the agreed build price. That is the whole arrangement, and there is no ongoing cut of anything.

What if I have hundreds of products, or trade pricing?

Bulk catalogues, customer-specific or wholesale pricing and stock-system integrations are real work and I will not pretend otherwise. They are quoted separately once we know what is involved — or I will tell you it is not a fit and point you somewhere better.

Do you write my product descriptions or take the photographs?

No. Both are yours. I write the copy for the core pages — home, about, delivery, returns — and I will tell you exactly what each product photograph has to show, but the product words and pictures come from you.

What happens after launch?

Thirty days of support is included, so the first month of real orders is covered. After that Shopify Care at £149 a month is optional, not automatic, and the shop is yours either way — nothing stops working if you do not take it.

Can I take it to someone else later?

Yes. The Shopify account is in your name from the start, so there is nothing to release and no notice to give. Any other developer can pick it up, and I will hand over what they ask for.
